House Information for Mackie Academy

At Mackie Academy there are six houses that provide pastoral support to our young people.  They are named after areas of significance in our local area and are:

• Carron House 

• Cowie House

• Dunnottar House

• Fetteresso House

• Swanley House

• Ury House

Carron House provides support for our young people with significant additional support needs who may only access mainstream education on a part-time basis and for young people with significant social, emotional and behavioural difficulties that requires intensive support.

All other houses support a cross-section of the school from S1 to S6 with families remaining within the same house to promote positive working relationships between home and school throughout the time a family is with the school.
